A little about me, a little bit about what I love and all because I am procrastinating.
Hello! Welcome to my first blog and thanks for having a squiz. My name is Sarah and I created this website as another platform for existing and new clients to view my work and of course get in contact with me. This is well, WELL overdue I have to admit. I have been in the industry for 9 + years but none the less I am here now! Website set up, Instagram account starting to catch momentum and me giving this whole blog thing ago. *Pats self on the back*
As promised in the title here is a little bit about myself... I am a 28 year old freelance makeup artist, teeth whitening technician, dog, food and music loving indecisive libran. I live with my partner Scotty the hotty and my 2 dogs Simba and Wynston (It really bugs me that my partner spelt his name why a 'y'. If one more person quotes 'Wynston with a y' after I introduce him I will loose my mind). For the past year or so I've been a little lost... this could be because I left my full time role after 7 years, could be because I moved away from my family and friends or it could just be because I'm 28 now... people did warn me this feeling was coming.
So I guess there's still a lot about me I'm trying to figure out and I guess I'm hoping putting the old pen to paper might help me find my way.
Oh and I enrolled into uni this year. Here we go!! Will I be good at studying? Can I balance studying with work, social life and still have time to watch pointless reality television every night? Only time will tell, and then I'll tell you guys.
Now for a little bit about what I love...
After 9 years in the makeup industry I'm at a point now where I know exactly what I love about makeup. *Drum roll please* What I love about makeup is the one hour conversation I get to have with so many lovely people out there. I love it, love the small talk, love the 80% listening and 20% asking questions as my many years in retail taught me. Love peoples stories, their dramas, hearing about their big special moments and just having the chance to connect.
Not to mention doing all this whilst doing something as fun and as expressive as makeup. Yay for me.
I also love pretty things, yummy things, creative things, reading things (even though I rarely finish any book) and I just love love. That's why I am the perfect candidate for your wedding makeup artist... See what I did there ;)
